Spessartine is a variety of garnet that occurs only in orange hues. It’s a nesosilicate, with manganese and aluminum being part of the makeup. It’s name is a variant of the location it was found, Spessart, in Bavaria, Germany. The hue of this specimen leans to a more orange, rather than red, meaning that it has a very high spessartine content.

Those who practice metaphysical healing believe that this stone will awaken your innate creative abilities.
