Knightia
Knightia is an extinct genus of clupeid bony fish. It lived in North America and Asia during the Eocene epoch. Knightia had rows of dorsal and ventral scutes that ran from the back of their head down to their medial fins. They had small conical teeth, and were primarily schooling fish that served as food for larger predators. These fossils come to us from Green River, Wyoming.
