Green River Fossil Mural Five
This naturally shaped fossil plate was mined from the upper layers of the Green River Fossil quarry. It features calmer colors and banding from iron-oxide zones within the stone. The mural contains three very small Knightia Eocaena, all measuring 2″ to 2.75″, and a 10″ Phareodus Testis. Phaeodus were an ancient predator in the freshwater lakes that are now the Green River Formation.
