Celestite (Celestine)
Celestite consists of strontium sulfate. Celestite and strontianite are the principle sources of the element strontium. It’s commonly used in the manufacturing of fireworks! Celestite forms in crystals, and compact massive and fibrous forms. The blue variants of this mineral are found mainly in Madagascar, but different colorations are found all over the world. It commonly forms in geodes. Protozoa creatures called Acantharea composed their rudimentary skeletons of Celestite by biomineralizing or creating the mineral using strontium. Instead of fossilizing, these creatures actually crystalized.
Metaphysical: Those who practice metaphysical healing believe celestite increases understanding and achieving of a higher consciousness.
